My name is Chirasmita Bebarat, coming from Kurthamgad, Kandhamal.  I lost my father at an early age. We are five children and I am the eldest. The sole bread winner of my family is mother who works as a daily wager and struggle to support the family and our education. I had to stop my education in 10^th and look for means to assist my mother. It is at that time I came across St. Joseph’s Seva Sadan Community College and the training program here. I was more than happy to be educated. I grabbed this opportunity and joined for Industrial Machine Operation.  Along with tailoring I also learned basics of computers and spoken English.  St. Joseph Seva Sadan community College was a home away from home. I never missed my family while I did my training. I am thankful to the sisters for the holistic care and support given to us.  The facilities at the college are remarkable and teachers are amazing.  Due to the unexpected outbreak of COVID we could not go for the placement immediately after the training. Now I am placed in Best Corporation at Thirupur. I have joined as a trainee and is earning Rs 7000/- per month. I am happy that I am able to support my family with my earning. Thank you to St. Joseph’s Community college for making me who I am today.
